Read how this B.Com Hons student scored an accounting internship that she really enjoyed. Kritika Baluja, a 2nd-year student at Gargi College tell us about her keen interest in finance which made her opt for an accounting internship.
My Accounting Internship At Unicorn Denmark
Utilising her idle time during the summer break, Kritika surely raised her employability quotient with this accounting internship! She says, “Since it was my summer break, I was interested in having knowledge about the working environment of an office because at the end we all have to work there at some point in time.”
Kritika wanted to work as an accounting intern because she was looking for a chance where she could absorb plenty of knowledge about accounts and financing. She feels this internship helped her set her foot in the right door and it will help her career in future.
Further, she tells us about the company she interned for. She says, “Unicorn Denmart is a company which deals in the dentistry equipment. The company recruits interns for the accountancy and HR fields.”

Telling us about her daily routine and the tasks she was appointed, Kritika feels it was the right kind of internship she had. She says, “I was happy with the people who taught me. Whenever I had to work they’d first tell me about what the thing actually was and then ask me to work. At the end, I got a letter of recommendation from the HR and a sum of 5000 rupees which was unexpected!”
“I didn’t apply for many internships prior to this one, and I am grateful that I could work and add this accounting internship to my resume. This internship experience makes me feel that I am actually ready for the finance job market!”
